FAQ - Appraisal Theory & QL2 Usage

• What is the best practice for adding subsequent pieces of jewelry for an existing client?
  If it is a new assignment, a new worksheet should be created.  If, and only if the client asks for the new item(s) to be in the same report as their original item(s), then you should create a new worksheet for the same client, and copy the original existing item(s) into the worksheet and then add the new item(s).  That would put all of the items in the same worksheet and on the same date.  If the date difference of the original item(s) is/are significantly different from the new report date, the value(s) for the original item(s) should be reviewed.
• What if I am unable to connect to the internet?
  If an internet connection is not available, QL2 has an “off-line mode” that saves your work to be uploaded the next time you are able to connect.  When logging into QL2, the off-line mode icon appears in the lower right corner of the dialog, after entering your user name. Clicking on the icon or presing “Ctrl + Enter” will open the offline interface.
• I have an image which looks lighter/darker than the others How do I fix it?
  If you don't have image editing software, QL2 has built in image editing tools to lghten/darken an image along with tools for cropping and compression too.
• How many appraisal reports can I create?
  As many as you like!  Depending on your subscription level, there may be additional data storage fees in extreme cases.
